Needed motivation to get to out of bed this morning? Let Serena Williams help you rise up — literally.
BBC Sport UK aired an epic, two-minute montage of Williams’ badass accomplishments over her recitation of Maya Angelou’s iconic poem “Still I Rise.”
It’s spine-tingling, to say the least.
The footage fittingly aired on Saturday during BBC’s broadcast of Wimbledon 2016, before Williams went on to defeat Angelique Kerber, gaining the 34-year-old her 22nd Grand Slam title.
The tennis champ echoed the video’s sentiments during a post-match interview, saying, “I didn’t come from any money or anything, but I did have a dream and I did have hope. That’s really all you need.”
Now there’s a message to start off a week.
