A 10-year-old autistic girl’s chilling rendition of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah has struck a chord with thousands of listeners around the world.
According to the BBC, the girl – named Kaylee Rodgers – suffers from autism and ADHD. Normally, according to staff at Killard House School in Northern Ireland, Kaylee – who has difficulty with math and literacy – is very shy. But when she gets on stage, as principal Colin Millar puts it, “she just opens up.”
That video – uploaded just two days ago – has more than 54,000 views on YouTube.
One commenter wrote, “The fantastic thing about this video is that it’s not just good because she’s 10. And it’s not just good because she’s dealing with autism and ADHD. It’s good because it’s good – really good.”
