A lot of times you’re watching a movie and think, «That person looks familiar. Where have I seen them before? Weren’t they in that one thing with that one person?»
My point is not my ineptitude for remembering things other than what I want to eat, but rather a lot of famous people were in movies other than the ones they’re most known for, usually having a small part before they really hit it big…
#1 Ben Affleck in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
That awesome hair and welcoming expression got him a character known as “Basketball Player #10.”
#2 Selena Gomez in Spy Kids 3D: Game Over.
Before she couldn’t keep her hands to herself, she played an innocent child who went by the name “Waterpark Girl” and who said things like “pray tell.”
#3 Matt Damon in Mystic Pizza.
Why the pained expression like he’s trying to pass a stone? His brother just got up and ripped the tablecloth off, taking all of the food with it. Great. Let’s order pizza. Anyone know where we could get some?
#4 Taran Killam in Big Fat Liar.
Before he was hanging out on Saturday Night Live, he was making ridiculous facial expression at big fat liars.
#5 Kerry Washington in Save the Last Dance.
Kerry Washington is Chenille. CHENILLE. Get it, girl.
#6 Damon Wayans in Beverly Hills Cop.
As luck would have it, “Banana Man,” is the star of one of the funniest scenes in the movie.
#7 Brie Larson in Right on Track.
Get your motor running, as this Oscar winner once played the drag-racing sister to 7th Heaven’s Beverly Mitchell.
#8 Ashley Benson in 13 Going on 30.
The Pretty Little Liars star was sporting some fierce polka dot action, and as a bonus, you also get another young Brie Larson.
#9 Shailene Woodley in Felicity: An American Girl Adventure.
That dress looks ridiculously uncomfortable, and the look she’s giving that dude says, “Really? You think that hat works?”
#10 Kristen Stewart in The Thirteenth Year.
I don’t know what they’re looking at there, but dude in the back couldn’t care less. He’s too busy studying because that’s what kids do in the hallways between classes.
#11 Justin Theroux in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion.
Before he sported sweatpants on The Leftovers, he sported the role of “brain-dead, redneck asshole” cowboy named Clarence in a scene with Janeane Garofalo. Saddle up!
#12 Josh Hutcherson in Kicking and Screaming.
Before he went all Hunger Games, he was a bully named Bucky. Bad, Peeta, bad.
